Wikis for programmatic cooperation

David Pollak points me to a novel way of using Wikis for collaboration outside the usual social network setting.

This is interesting. A Wiki can serve as both a dynamic cache and an audit trail for web applications who wish to collaborate. The extremely loose coupling here makes for wonderful opportunities to tie together services that don’t have this behavior built in (the reason being, of course, that caching and auditing and joint up-time between two distinct systems is hard to get right).
