IBM buys Internet Security Systems (ISS)

IBM buys security company Internet Security Systems (ISS). The joint offering of managed security services may become a formidable adversary.

This will put pressure on a rapidly consolidating storage and security space (recall EMC’s announced purchase of RSA Security and Symantec’s merger with Veritas). Will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
