Hot laptops
Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 09:49AM I can buy Apple hardware with considerable discounts and I truly want and need a new MBP.
But I’m not buying, and why? Frickin’ heat, that’s why. And I’m not talking about the current Bay Area heat wave. I’m talking about the burn-your-palm heat that makes the devices almost unusable after only an hour of use.
Why is it that every new rev of Apple hardware, iPhones included it appears, run so hot? I thought the old G3 and G4 books got plenty hot, but, come on, the Intel ones are even worse! And these processors consume much less electricity.
My ThinkPad never get nearly this hot.
No wonder people try to run OS X on other non-Apple hardware!
